Meet Miriam!

Inspired by her older siblings, Miriam started learning piano when she was five years old. The first song she learned completely was jingle-bells. Later, at the age of twelve she became her church’s congregational piano player. At sixteen she competed in the OMEA competitions, in the hardest divisions. She received the second highest score possible. Her favorite composer is Debussy, and one of her favorite piano memories includes playing Debussy for a street crowd in Barcelona, Spain.

Miriam has been blessed with amazing piano teachers herself, and loves passing on her knowledge to future students. Miriam also loves learning and exploration herself and enjoys inspiring future learners to explore and engage with the music they are learning. Miriam believes that learning should be motivated by the love of piano, and Miriam seeks to instill that love in her students.
