1. Lessons:
The Instructor agrees to provide piano/guitar lessons to the Student for the duration of this contract.
Lessons will be conducted at the home of the Student unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties.
The lesson duration will be either 30 minutes or 45 minutes, based on the Student’s enrollment choice.
2. Student Expectations:
The Student agrees to practice regularly between lessons to ensure progress and maximize the benefits of the lessons.
3. Performances:
A recital will be held each year in December. All students are expected to attend and perform a minimum of one piece.

4. Cancellations and Missed Lessons:
Home Sweet Harmonies uses a flat-rate tuition model that accounts for holidays, studio breaks, sick days and family vacations. For this reason, individual missed lessons are not refundable and do not reduce tuition.
If you need to reschedule a lesson, you may coordinate directly with your teacher to attempt a make-up lesson. Make-ups are not guaranteed and are subject entirely to teacher availability. To maintain consistency and support regular practice, make-up lessons should be scheduled within the same calendar week as the missed lesson and cannot be added to a week that already includes a scheduled lesson.
Lessons canceled by the Instructor beyond the built-in allowance will be made up or credited toward the next month.
5. Materials:
The Student is responsible for purchasing any required learning materials, such as sheet music or method books.
It is expected that the Student owns/possesses their instrument. Home Sweet Harmonies does not provide or rent instruments.
6. Parent Presence Requirement
For the safety of both students and instructors, a parent or guardian must be present in the home for the entire duration of each lesson. While they do not need to actively watch the lesson, they must remain on the premises.
If a parent or guardian is not home at the time of the lesson, the lesson will be canceled, and no refund or makeup lesson will be provided.
Home Sweet Harmonies and its instructors are not responsible for the supervision of children outside of their scheduled lesson time. By enrolling in lessons, you acknowledge that all liability for the child’s safety and well-being remains with the parent or guardian.
7. Billing and Fees:
Home Sweet Harmonies uses a flat-rate annualized tuition model. Tuition is based on the total number of lessons taught throughout the year and divided evenly across 12 months, ensuring the same payment amount each month.
Monthly tuition rates:
30-minute lessons — $110/month
45-minute lessons — $145/month
Payments are processed through Stripe. You will be provided a secure link to make your first payment, which will store your payment method on file. After that, your card will be automatically charged on the 1st of each month.
A $15 late fee will be applied to any payments received after the 5th. If payment is not received by the 10th, lessons will be placed on hold until the balance is paid in full.
8. Discontinuation of Lessons:
A 30-day notice is required to discontinue lessons. The final month’s payment will still be due if notice is not provided at least 30 days before discontinuing lessons.
